Practical Strategies – How individuals, educators, and organizations can contribute.

A glimpse into my book “The Ultimate to Do list for Humanity” which is available on Amazon.in will give a in-depth view of this. By incorporating eco-friendly measures, the Paris Olympics set a new standard for sustainable sporting events and left a legacy for the city and a role model for the globe.

Carbon Neutrality: Paris made the Olympics carbon neutral, offsetting all greenhouse gas emissions from the event.  Renewable Energy: The Olympics relied on 100% renewable energy sources, such as solar and wind power. Electric Vehicles: Electric or hybrid vehicles were used for transportation during the Games. Sustainable Venues: Existing venues were used whenever possible, reducing the need for new construction and waste. Green Infrastructure: Paris invested in green infrastructure, such as parks and green roofs, to improve air quality and mitigate urban heat islands. Zero-Waste Goal: The Olympics aimed to produce zero waste, with a focus on recycling, composting, and reducing single-use plastics. Sustainable Food: Food served during the Olympics was locally sourced, organic, and waste-reduced. Climate Action: The Paris Olympics promoted climate action and raised awareness about the importance of sustainability. The beds were also made in such a way that they could be easily dismantled. Taking the para-Olympics under the aegis of the Olympics, Paris has shown the way for exclusivity.
