  1. My congratulations and gratitude to you Pramila for creating this beautiful piece for educators!🙌
I did Principals training on NEP for two seasons but the clarity I got after reading your article is enchanting. Read it twice. Still want to read again. Not only the analogy but the description is just the right length.
    Thank you Pramila!🙏

  2. This is a fascinating read, thank you for sharing. I’m interested to hear ‘what next’ with this thinking:- how will you share this with educators and what might some of the thinking look like in practice? Do you think the Indian cultural lens will help practitioners engage with the research, especially in the field of cognitive science? I don’t know how widespread or familiar teachers in India are with this.

  3. I truly liked the way you’ve drawn parallels between NEP 2020 and the ancient practices from various scriptures you’ve quoted from….. linking these to current classroom practices .
    Kudos my dear friend.
I particularly found this interesting :

  5. Hi Pramila, I read this, thank you! It’s interesting that there are so many parallels. I think there are also parallels with the process of scientific thinking. It reinforces the importance of history and looking back in looking forward.

  6. I read this article titled, “Ancient Indian wisdom and modern pedagogy: a conceptual exploration for modern classrooms” by Dr Pramila Kudva on Teacherplus.org website.

    It is amazingly well articulated.

Loved the way the article mentions the NEP, SDG4 and the way forward in Indian Education. Also very well connected Maslow’s hierarchy with PanchaKosha system.

Infact, Panchpadi can well be connected with Blooms taxonomy (partially though, as essence is similar.)

Overall the article is well researched and must read for all educators. Gurukul system can be reinvented and reintroduced in Bhārata.
